Hey Guys.
I'd so appreciate your prayers just now as YWAM is approaching fast and still £2000 to raise. Yep...£2000, not £1800 like I thought. My mistake, confused dollars for pounds and added up my totals wrong! So still the whole amount of the mission to SE Asia to raise.
I am struggling to think of other ways or find opportunities for more fundraising as December is proving to be a massively busy month, so prayer for discernment for that would be amazing. Or just peace with really giving it up to God which I'm finding easy to slip in and out of. I know Gods in control...just need to be reminded.
I really am so grateful to all yous who are praying, reading the blog or have donated! So blessed to have such encouragement behind me. Thankyou thankyou!
Next Thursday (15th) @ 7.30pm in Re:Hope I have arranged a prayer evening for my time with YWAM, since I wont be in Glasgow much longer before I head off. I'll share more about what I'll be doing and why I feel like this is where God has placed me then we can spend time in prayer and listening to God. Please do come along if its on your heart! Be great to have you there!
If you feel like Gods prompted you and would like to support me financially then follow this link:

£1,920 to go now!! Praise God!
Money fairly crept out of the woodwork last week, as well as amazing friends showing generosity. Seems mad to see £1920 in a month as a do-able challenge but Gods proved His hand in this, so YEAHHH, it will be done!
Hopefully I will get a prayer night together at Re:Hope soon. Come along if you feel it on your heart.
A celidh is proving very difficult to find a date for so think that plan might be scratched which is a bit of a bummer. December is so packed up already. I was maybe relying on fundraising events bringing in the rest of the money a bit much, God's just teaching me that I have to go back to prayer prayer prayer.
If you are so incredible as to want to give then clicking here is the simplest way... any little helps: http://bit.ly/pvBxWC

~£2340.43 STILL TO GO!~ This is the cost for the 3 months outreach in S.E. Asia
Prayer please!!! and donations to http://bit.ly/pvBxWC xx
3 steps closer....
Thankyou thankyou thankyou everyone who came, helped out, or performed last night!! It was so awesome, so happy with the turn out. Really blessed :) And suprisingly didn't get too stressed, except about my wee talk but hey, it all came together.
The night raised £330.97!! Big step closer to getting the money together. Still got the Ceilidh and Sam's piano recital to go and hopefully the blessings will continue....keep a look out for advertisements.
This brings my total raised to £3129.97!! Amazing isn't it! But means I now have £2340 STILL TO RAISE...and a month and a half to do it in, ahhh!
God's really proved himself to be faithful with this though through his amazing provisions so far so I don't doubt that he will provide the rest. Just need to prayerfully seek after this, to bring glory to Him. So please support me with your prayers in this. Also I'd so appreciate prayer about the time leading up to leaving...recently it's really become real to me that I'm going to be leaving very soon and for 6 months and fear of home-sickness and being away from home comforts is kicking-in. I want to be able to honor God with my attitude towards what struggles might lie ahead and bodly and excitedly take them on rather than holding on to familiarity. This is such an exciting thing and an awesome experience God has chosen me for so I want to give it the excitement its worth! I think the longer I spend at home, the more I'm getting attatched, so prayer against this please...
The reason I think it's become so real is that I'VE BOOKED MY FLIGHTS!!! I booked them on Tuesday. I leave from Edinburgh early on January 5th and return midday on 13th June. Oh yeah! and I got my VISA! Went to Belfast last week to have my interview and after a 5 min interview with a woman who was familiar with YWAM, my Visa wa approved and sent to me 2 days later. Went far to smoothly...God was on it.
So yes, it has been a big week for plans coming together.
I'm trying to organise a prayer night for my time with YWAM at church in the near future so you will hear about that soon.
GOD BLESS

Almost 2 months to go!!
Aloha everyone! So its coming up just 2 months to go!! Action stations! Really is scary how fast it is coming around. A lot has been developing recently....
I received confirmation that I've been accepted for the DTS!! Wooh! Though I had almost forgotten I still had to hear as I felt as if God had already confirmed it to me long before. But it does make it very real, and very exciting! Turns out it kicks off on January 7th, so I'm setting off on the 5th. A week sooner than I thought so it means I'll be missing the Lee + Lilley wedding :( But hey, I'll be doing my DTS!
Also, I have my VISA appointment next week in Belfast so prayer support for this would be amazing! Just that I am fully prepared for what they require and there will be no issues that delay the process. It shouldn't take long to process the VISA if all goes to plan which means I can then book flights!
God has been faithful and has provided me with just enough to cover flights and the tuition deposit of $500 which is to be paid by next week latest. Theres no turning back once I pay these biggys off! But it means I have £2500 still to raise before I go! Starting to get scared as time goes by. But God keeps subtley reminding me that He called me here and He will provide.
Though I have to admit I am finding it hard to comprehend this and to rest in that knowledge. Instead I keep having mini freak-outs about how big the number is I'm still to raise! But I've had really encouraging talks and prayers with friends about this... Sometimes all it takes is a chat with the Wellers again to hear how faithful God is and has showed himself to be in YWAM to ignite more faith in me. Though, through any moments of uncertainty God is really teaching me a lot. I really feel in a place of vulnerability and dependence on Him and He's really using it to show me that He is my sole provider and in Him is all I'll need! I can't wait to see how He's going to use this time to teach me even more about his character.
I've begun getting the fundraisers on the go! Had my first fundraiser this Saturday (29th) doing facepainting at the GUU Hive, made a nice £60, though would have been better if not every face was already done up. Hopefully we'll manage to fit in some more facepainting. I'm really excited for the rest of the fundraisers I have lined up. The plans aren't quite complete yet but they include:
- An Accoustic Night at the Dram on Fri 18th November
- A Ceilidh (starring the amazing Namibia team cilidh band) at the start of December. Hoping Sat 3rd? Kelvinstevenson Memorial Church? If you know of any other good ceilidh venues please let me know.
- A Piano Recital by super awsome pianist Samuel Clark. date/venue tbc.
On top of these, I hope to have a prayer evening to share my heart for what I'll be doing in YWAM with everyone whos interested. Then joining in prayer together over it.
There will be no avoiding the marketing of these events so you will know details soon enough!
If you have any other fundraising ideas or would like to lend a hand then please let me know, I'd so appreciate this!
Please continue to keep this in your prayers + thank you so much for reading!!
If you feel led to give, the link for donations is- http://bit.ly/pvBxWC ...and they'd be so greatly appreciated
God Bless!

First Entry!
Hello!
For my first post I guess I should explain a bit more about what Youth With A Mission is and why I feel like that's where God wants me to be in this coming year. YWAM is a missionary charity that sends people (not just youth) out on mission all over the world to evangelise and make Jesus known. Or in YWAM Maui's own words they are ..."A missions training center committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by equipping and mobilizing young people in Biblically based discipleship, and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ primarily throughout Asia. And a DTS (Discipleship Training School) is "An intensive six-month program that fuels inward transformation and outward application through worship, teachings, prayer, evangelism, service, compassion, etc. The first three months are spent in Maui growing in our relationship with God and in the knowledge of the world around us. The second three months is spent on the field, sharing the truth and love of Jesus Christ with others. It enables you to understand better the purpose of life—to love Him, love others, and make disciples of all nations. DTS is a time of stripping away, rebuilding, learning, equipping, and going."
You can check out the website here: http://www.ywammaui.com/dts/what-you-need-to-know.html
After a number of my plans for this coming year falling through, I really felt as if God was telling me to just wait and He would make clear what He wanted me to do in time. This was just before setting off for Namibia so meant I was already desperate to find out what I was to do before going so I could prepare something for when I got back. In Namibia I was in a team with Todd, Ruth and Gus, all who have done a YWAM DTS in Maui as well as Todd and Ruth doing further work and outreaches with them since. Hearing their testimonies from YWAM, which involved amazing miraculous encounters, and about YWAM's urgency for the gospel and acknowledgement of the reality of God's promises really excited me and after praying about it and discussing it I really felt that that is where God wants me and that sense of 'wait and see' was gone.
So yes! I'm so excited as I have complete and utter faith that God will get me there....for the next DTS in January! Only 3 months to plan and raise over £3,500! This could be such a daunting idea however "With God everything is possible" (Mathew 19:23). And he has already amazed me by providing £2000 from sources I didn't know existed. The overall money that has to be raised for me to go is £5,500.
I really ask that you help support me by prayer as I realise this can only be done through God and submitting to him through prayer.
